The book gave verifiable records about the war that different books refuted to included. The proposition that Schaffer attempts to demonstrate that the Great War was the beginning of the American government assistance state and the start of â€Å"big† government. America in the Great War was organized in sequential request of the war, from America’s preparation to the real battling. What the book did exclude is a detail record of the battling. The Federal Government built up boards of trustees and groups to convince the psyches of the United States.
